The DTM Analyst Certification Course (ISS509) is a 3-credit, graduate-level program designed to equip students with the analytical skills and ethical framework required to apply the Dynamic Threat Mitigation (DTM™) Model to real-world security environments. Through an intensive six-week format, learners engage in lectures, CyberLab© simulations, and case studies to master the seven core functions of the DTM Model—Socioeconomic Status (SES), Political Instability (PI), Ideological Extremism (IE), Social Disenfranchisement (SD), Lack of Education (LE), Psychosocial Factors (PSF), and External Influence (EI). Students gain proficiency in sourcing and validating global security datasets (RAND, UNODC, World Bank, START), applying calibrated weights for predictive risk analysis, and conducting scenario-based scoring of both historical and emerging threats. The course emphasizes ethical compliance, operational relevance, and evidence-based decision-making. Successful completion prepares graduates to earn the DTM Certified Analyst credential, valid for three years, and to contribute meaningfully to intelligence, defense, and security organizations.
